September 1 Book Arts: Carving a Block Print

You will learn how to use a V-shaped linoleum cutter on soft block material to print in an accordion book.
Your $7 fee (please bring cash) includes the linoleum carving blade and holder, a 2 inch by 3 inch carving block, tracing paper, designs to carve (or you can bring your own simple design no larger than 2 inch by 3 inches), an accordion book, and a resource listing.
Please bring a #2 pencil, bone folder, and a light color rubber stamp pad. Some pencils and pads will also be provided.
The presentation will be conducted by Anne Rita Taylor who has been carving prints since 1990. Anne’s carved prints have appeared in national magazines such as Somerset Studio, Stamper’s Sampler, Rubber Stamp Madness, Vamp Stamp News, plus her self-published: Taylor Zine.
