23 Sandy Gallery and the University of Puget Sound invite artists to participate in Book Power Redux, a juried exhibition of book art focusing on social and political issues. Artist books can be a powerful medium for social change and activism. For this show we have a strong interest in some of the most vital issues of our day: race, diversity, equality, justice, bullying, poverty, civil rights and more. Submissions deadline: March 14, 2014.

“Content in Books”
Thursday, May 2nd  –  6pm
Museum of Printing History
**RSVP to  tap126@aol.com **

Now that we have created some wonderful book structures, we are shifting our focus to another creative process:

Exploring memoir as a path to content for our books.

Nancy Luton will lead us through this writing experience using some techniques she has learned in workshops, especially one with mystery writer and memoirist Susan Wittig Albert.

Bring your favorite writing utensils as well as your Exacto knives, glue sticks, and scissors– we may have time for a simple structure after all!

Nancy will provide writing paper at no charge.
